Paul Oakley
Paul Oakley is an artist living and working in Wiltshire. Specialising in oil painting, Paul is predominantly a landscape artist and developed his painting style through studying the works of artists such as Edward Seago and his contemporaries. He enjoys being out in the elements capturing a moment in the landscape as well as painting in his studio, which is a traditional Shepherd’s Hut. Paul also enjoys painting still life and is always looking for new ways to paint everyday objects. In 2017 Paul attained a Diploma in oil painting from the Norfolk Painting School which has added a greater technical understanding of this medium. Paul regularly exhibits his work, in particular, as part of Marlborough Open Studios.
Paul is the director of Pewsey Vale Studio, which is dedicated to teaching oil painting within small groups, allowing for one-to-one tuition. The Studio holds a number of day courses for complete beginners, as well as more advanced artists, to develop their painting skills.
