Val Ridler

Val works mainly in mixed media, gouache, pastels and oils. She is a member of the Woman's Society of Artists and was past president of the South Cotswold Artists. She has exhibited extensively in the UK and Europe. Her greatest love is capturing the atmosphere and subtle expression of light and water in paint. Observation is the key to successful painting and Val enjoys portraying the elements of visual sensations through the use of colour and tone.  The freshness and vigour of a seascape or countryside scene can be inspirational and this shows through her paintings.
