Peter Dalziel

Peter Dalziel has a particular love for character and portrait studies. His pastel technique has developed over many years into a style which, although maybe not unique, is certainly individual. His interest and development in portraiture and face studies commenced seriously whilst he was living and working in Africa between 1978 and 82. Living and working in Southern Africa also gave him an interest in wildlife, hence began his studies of animals and birds from various countries. From the very beginning, he realised that this was something he wanted to concentrate on and so purchased his first box of pastels and found an immediate affinity with this medium.
Peter has travelled extensively which has been a huge influence on his work.  He has exhibited and sold work globally, illustrated books, both in colour and pen and ink as well as first day covers and stamp designs. Latterly, he has moved into working in acrylics but still maintains his first love of soft pastels.
