Will Dyke
Will Dyke studied illustration and printmaking at Harrow College of Art, University of Westminster. Stories and illustration have influenced and informed his artistic outlook, which also encouraged his earlier career in bookselling. Will specialises in woodcut and linocut prints, exhibiting and teaching regular workshops and classes. He sells limited edition prints and works to commission. Much of his work is inspired by rural life and history, which has led to an involvement with the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum in West Sussex.
Will is also the organiser of the Printmakers' Exhibition, held annually in Chichester. It is a popular show showcasing prints handmade in traditional methods. Exhibitors include printmakers from Will's classes, invited artist's, professionals, and attendees of West Dean College, from amateur, to foundation, and degree level.
As well as workshops and demonstrations, Will also offers an illustrated talk and demo which consists of a one-hour talk, followed by print demonstration. The talk covers life, inspiration, working practice, current and future projects, and insights into being a working artist printmaker, followed by a practical demonstration of cutting and printing a woodcut or linocut design.
