Julie King

Julie is an experienced and inspiring watercolourist based in Kent. After graduating with a first-class degree in textile design, Julie worked as an in–house designer of household textiles before freelancing for several years creating fabrics, wallpapers and designs for ceramics. Julie’s love for flowers and the natural world shines through in her paintings and her style is varied. She is the author of four books on flower painting, all published by Search Press and was awarded the Certificate of Botanical Merit Award in 2007. Julie is an affiliate of Jackson’s Art Materials, a regular contributor to Leisure Painter magazine and has gained a Certificate of Education. Julie is a popular teacher, running regular classes for adults in Kent, painting days in National Trust gardens and has worked on P&O cruises.
