Aurora Spain
Aurora has been working as a professional artist since 1995, having studied at the JJA Academy of Art and Design, the Open College of the Arts and South Hill Park. The purpose of her paintings is to lift the spirits, by combining passionate colour with images drawn from both nature and the imagination. She uses elements of fantasy bordering on surrealism, always grounded in close observation of nature. Much of her work is carried out to commission. She teaches individual workshops as well as weekly classes and painting holidays and sees her teaching as an intrinsic part of her artistic development.

The Bigger Picture – a fun workshop where each participant completes a jigsaw extract from a well-known painting in their own style and colouring, then all the pieces are assembled.
Colour Theory - based on work by Itten, Munsell and Betty Edwards.
