With a lifetime dedicated to art, Tony is a popular established professional artist well known for his relaxed and easy style of teaching and demonstrating, His vast knowledge of media and techniques is freely shared with all interested in developing their own artistic talents.
He is best known for his seascapes and landscapes (although experience and happy to paint any subject) who trained at Bradford Regional College of Art in the early 60’s. His teaching experience started whilst at college and later included degree level tutoring for the Open College of the Arts. For many years he has worked as a demonstrator for leading art manufacturers and distributors, made several appearances on television and regularly writes for leading art magazines. His work has been exhibited at numerous local and national exhibitions throughout the years and is hung in private collections around the world.
For over two decades Tony & his wife Eileen have organising and run art holiday courses in the U.K. And 2018 will bring the opportunity to join Tony in his home studio in Cornwall, the Cober Hill Hotel, Scarborough or the Old House Studio, Derbyshire.
Now living and working from his home studio in Cornwall, where for or over a century, artists have been drawn inspired by its spectacular unspoiled coastline with the unique translucent quality of the light it reflects and warmed by the Gulf Stream. Here they will continue to offer 4 or 5 day courses. Located in the delightful north coast town of Wadebridge they offer art holidays for groups of up to six participants. Tony frequently gives demonstrations and workshops to art societies across the whole of the United Kingdom, and at major trade shows for art material manufacturers and suppliers. With his unique position working with several leading art materials manufacturers he is sometimes able to provide the media for your days workshop.
A prolific painter who exhibits in several galleries he still finds time to writes articles for leading art magazines with pieces published in Leisure Painter, Paint and Draw, Artist & Illustrators, Paint and the Artist in recent times.

He was the first resident artist of the twenty first century at 'Burton Agnes Hall' a magnificent Elizabethan stately hall in Yorkshire and has produced paintings for the Television series 'Heartbeat'
