I'm an English artist best known for my vibrant watercolour and oil paintings of landscapes, cityscapes, cafe and street scenes inspired by my love of light and colour.

I graduated from St Martin's School of Art in London and have been a full time professional painter, illustrator and designer all of my life.

Over the years I've been lucky enough to have received many corporate commissions and to have had my work published internationally in print form as open editions by the Art Group, by IKEA of Sweden as part of their print ranges and by W H Smith as a range of greetings cards. In particular, the image 'Cafe Provence' has sold over half a million copies worldwide in print form since publication by IKEA in 1994.

My work is published in print form worldwide, and I have undertaken work for many major corporate clients including airlines, banks, IT corporations and government departments. My first commission was to paint a Royal Marine Colour Sergeant Major for the Queen's Silver Jubilee Royal Tournament Poster. Other early work included many film posters including 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid', John Wayne's final movie 'The Shootist ' and ITV's 'The Muppet Show', including numerous 'portraits' of the Muppet characters for the show's creator, the late Jim Henson. In the late 1980s and early 90s I was commissioned by the then fledgling Virgin Atlantic Airways to paint a series of figurative pictures depicting their destinations, each image telling a 'story' featuring the Scarlet Lady, Virgin's mascot who 'flies' on the side of each aircraft. The iconic images were published as a range of limited edition prints co-signed by myself and Virgin boss Richard Branson. The images were also republished as part of a commemorative book to celebrate the airline's 25th Anniversary in 2010.

I have held a number of exhibitions in the UK and abroad. In July 1996, inspired by previous visits to Spain and the Balearics, I held a major solo exhibition of landscapes at the Galeria Artara in Mahon, the island's capital. The exhibition was almost a complete sell out.

I divide my time between corporate or personal commissions and my own, more personal work. Most recently, inspired by recent travel, I have begun working on a series of large canvases of landscapes, cityscapes and figurative subjects. My work is currently shown at several galleries including Lincoln Joyce Fine Art in Bookham, Surrey, The Gallery in Reigate, and Galeria Artara in Mahon, Menorca. I am lucky enough to do what I love and love what I do - I hope that shines through in my work.

Demonstrations and workshops I do both straightforward stand-up demonstrations where I will aim to complete a painting on a given theme within the time frame and I also run all-day workshops. I am equally comfortable with and to demonstrate in both oil and watercolour. In both demonstrations and workshops I will explain and discuss materials and colours in detail and try to cover 'good practice' in painting. In this instance, oil painting is slightly more technical than watercolour. On city scenes I will also cover a little basic perspective.

I currently have an number of themes and subjects for demos and workshops - these include, but are not limited to, the following:

I also offer a number of talks as detailed below.

Based in surrey, I am available for demonstrations and workshops within a 15/20 mile radius of Brockham
