Lyn has spent most of her life drawing, painting and sculpting.

She is the daughter of an American Navaho Indian, adopted at birth by a traditional English family.

She first had work accepted at the Royal Academy of Arts at the age of 11, which spurred her on to follow a career in art. After school she went on to train as a specialist teacher with children who have learning difficulties, teaching them to read and write through art.

She has now been teaching for 35 years, 25 as an adult Education Tutor working at many centres throughout the Midlands and at Solihull College. During this time she has had many exhibitions, and has shown locally at Solihull Library and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.

She has also recorded her unusual techniques for the Discovery Channel and has demonstrated at the Artists and Illustrators Exhibition in London.

Now she is partially retired and runs Adult Classes in Shirley and gives demonstrations on multi-media and art techniques to Societies and Clubs etc., whilst pursuing her own painting career in between looking after her family of 2 young adults and a very tolerant husband.
