Janina Maher grew up in a creative household, being encouraged to paint and draw from a young age. After a 30 year diversion in the corporate world she realised she would have a lot more fun if she did more art. She now spends her days in her garden studio painting, drawing, making handmade books and creating mixed media pieces. She particular enjoys exploring different forms of bookbinding, and this feeds an addiction to collecting beautiful papers. She stared teaching creative bookbinding and mixed media workshops in 2014 and now teaches regularly in Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Her aim is always to inspire confidence in students through carefully structured exercises, gentle encouragement and one to one support.
Based in Reading Berks, Janina is happy to travel up to 1 hour from home.
