Jan Freeman has been teaching art from her purpose built art studio in Warwickshire for 10 years.
She learnt to paint in the U.S.A. at Silvermine Guild of Artists where the watercolourist Charles Reid taught.
Jan is equally comfortable in any medium and particularly tries to capture mood in her work. She does this by using light and colour to enhance her subject matter.
Although Jan can paint any subject matter, she prefers to incorporate people into her paintings. She also paints a good few portrait commissions.

I have 3 workshops coming up in November, to be held at my studio in Harbury;
Friday Nov 9th- Xmas card workshop in pen and wash, £45.
We will bash out some ideas for Xmas designs and then put them into action. Hopefully you will have a choice of several designs to take to the printer (I can suggest one) , ready for your Xmas post.
Friday Nov 23rd Still Life Workshop £55
You will have a choice of several set ups and spend the whole day completing a painting in whichever medium you choose.
Friday Nov 30th Life model workshop £65
You will spend the day working from a model. Quick warm up sessions will be followed by a longer pose. You may work in any medium.
The workshops will be held in my Harbury studio. A home cooked lunch with wine will be provided along with tea/coffee breaks. An appraisal of your work will be carried out at the end of the day.
All sessions are 9.30am-4pm
I do hope that you will be able to come and experience a wonderful painting day in my studio.
