Freda is available for demonstrations and lectures in Watercolours, Acrylics, Oils and Mixed Media. Freda studied art with one of the leading artists in South Africa, Cecily Sash, but decided to make a career in nursing. While working part time as a clinical midwifery teacher, she became a skilled silversmith, sculptor and watercolour artist. Freda retired from nursing in 1992 to develop her artistic abilities and to become a professional artist.

Freda has a sensitive approach with her teaching skills and will encourage anyone who has a desire to draw and paint to produce original and exiting work. Her knowledge of sculpture will add a further dimension to the way you look at the subject matter.

Those people who have already acquired a certain standard in painting will benefit from her enthusiastic and energetic teaching skills. Freda lectures and demonstrates to Art Societies and runs courses in the Craft Centre Studio at the Riverside Arts centre, Sunbury.

Freda also teaches at Earnly Concourse near Chichester and takes groups to a Chateau in France. Freda is President of the Sunbury-on-Thames Art Group. Freda has had her paintings exhibited throughout the country and have featured in the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and in the Royal Society of British Artists Exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London. Freda is often called upon to fulfil commissions for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
